About Me
Hi, I am Astrid Lardinois, a 26-year-old with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Product Design (IPD). I followed my studies (2017-2022) at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (HHS) in The Hague, where I completed my bachelor with great pleasure. I am naturally curious and consistently strive to improve my knowledge and skills.
Post-graduation, I immersed myself in the restoration of a vintage sailing yacht, focusing on restoring its authentic exterior while converting the interior to a fully electric and environmentally friendly space.
At the age of seventeen, I embarked on a six-month journey, exploring Thailand, Bonaire, Curaçao, and the USA, particularly Miami. My passion for travel and exposure to diverse cultures has instilled in me the ability to view things from various perspectives, a quality I consider valuable. I am a quick learner, possess a strong work ethic, and always invest effort in acquiring new skills.
The allure of IPD lies in its fusion of creative and technical disciplines. During high school, I pursued the most technical courses, recognizing the broader range of future study options they provided. However, I desired to integrate more creative aspects into my education, making IPD the perfect fit.
I am deeply involved in the projects I undertake, drawn to hands-on experiences where I delve deep into understanding products, materials, or application methods from the inside out. This approach allows me to immerse myself in each project.
As a team player, I thrive on constructive feedback, dedicating myself to achieving shared objectives. While collaborative, I maintain individual perspectives and opinions. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure allow me to work efficiently and meet goals within specified timelines.
Within the design industry, I am still exploring my direction and purpose. My goal is to refine my signature style and contributing to innovative products and designs that make people happy.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills and passion align with your organization.
