When I was 17, I volunteered at a handbags and accessories design shop in Bonaire. We crafted products using re-used and up-cycled materials, including sail cloth and other used fabrics combined with new ones. During my time there, I learned sewing techniques with a variety of materials. After volunteering for three months, I returned to the Netherlands and continued crafting small shoulder bags for my friends and myself.
